My name is Willy de Mooij. Several years ago, Astrid asked me if I wanted to become the Treasurer of Vivir Juntos. At the time I could not combine that with my main position as a member of the Board of Directors of housing corporation Vestia and my other additional positions. My work at Vestia will end soon, so I’m happy to take up the treasurership as I’d like to contribute to a beautiful goal: the home community in Juigalpa.
I am 62 years old and I live in Rotterdam with my husband and dog. When I retire I will take some time out. And I then will gradually start looking for volunteer work and a few other supervisory positions and see whether I can tap into any hidden talents.
I have known Astrid for more than 40 years and have therefore been able to follow the developing of the Ruach community in Juigalpa from the beginning. I hope I can contribute to the work with my financial background. I also hope to learn a lot from the other board members about the issue of how we can make the best contribution to the Ruach Foundation from the Netherlands!
